Two ways to do it
In the app
- Open NatPay and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Google or Apple, the same way you sign in.
Your account is deleted straight away.
Without the app
- Email us from the address you use to sign in to NatPay.
- We confirm the request with you by reply.
- We delete the account within 7 days and tell you when it is done.
Before you delete
So that nobody is left with wrong balances, the app asks you to finish a few things first:
- If you are the admin of a trip that has other members, hand the admin role to someone else or close the trip.
- Confirm or settle any payments that are still open.
- Leave any open trips that have other members.
The app shows you which trips need attention. If you request deletion by email, we will tell you if any of these apply.
What gets deleted
- Your email address, phone number, profile photo and bio.
- Your Google or Apple sign-in link, saved devices and biometric sign-in keys.
- Your notifications and notification tokens.
Your name is replaced with "Deleted user", and you can no longer sign in. If you used Sign in with Apple, we also ask Apple to disconnect NatPay from your Apple ID.
What stays, and why
- Expenses, contributions and receipts in shared trips stay in those trips under "Deleted user", so the other members' balances and history stay correct. They are not linked to your email, phone or photo.
- Technical logs are deleted within 30 days.
- Backups are deleted within 90 days.
You are welcome to sign up again later with the same email or phone number. It will be a new, empty account.
